I am a Registered and Accredited Member of BACP* (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy).
I qualified in 2001 and became accredited in 2008. I am also a Supervisor and offer this as part of my practice. My approach is integrative using different theoretical models including CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), TA (Transactional Analysis), Gestalt and Person-Centred. I work with adults, couples, older adults and young people over the age of 16. I can provide either long term or short term counselling. |
My counselling experience includes working with stress, anxiety, depression, bereavement, loss, relationship problems, couples counselling, work and health related issues, self-esteem, personal awareness and development. I have experience of working in primary care both with the NHS and privately. I have additional training in working with couples, relationship issues and group work, and have
over 5 years specialist counselling experience of working with bereavement and loss in an East Sussex hospital. I am an approved counsellor/psychotherapist for several EAP providers, insurance companies and occupational health organisations both locally and nationally.
I am also a Relate trained Trainer and run a variety of training courses for local organisations. Bespoke courses and workshops are also available.
I frequently attend continuing professional development events and workshops keeping my knowledge and skills up to date. I am insured, attend regular professional supervision, and abide by BACP’s Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling & Psychotherapy.
*BACP Registered and Accredited counsellor/psychotherapists have been assessed by the BACP as having achieved a substantial level of training and maturity of experience, which has been demonstrated and evidenced.
